The Five Phases of a Successful Project
There are five ordered phases with which TripleWitch Technologies will work with you to implement a successful Web Development Project:
- Project Analysis and Goals Identification
- Content Development
- Site Design and Database Development
- Site Build-Out
- Site Launch
To be an effective and manageable project, each phase must be completed and signed-off on before moving into the next one. This methodology streamlines the Web Development process into a logical sequence of steps to avoid confusion and eliminates unnecessary reiterative development cycles.
Briefly, each phase consists of:
Phase 1: Project Analysis and Goals Identification
Before work can begin, TripleWitch needs to determine the scope and purpose of the Web Development project. Working along side your people, we will define what the project does and does not entail, who are the project stakeholders within your organization, who has final approval and responsibility for decisions and how the success of the project will be measured.
Once these parameters have been determined and agreed upon, we are ready to move onto the Content Development phase.
Phase 2: Content Development
The single-most critical element of the Web Development project is the content that will be on your web site. Far too often, Web Development projects are not initially content-driven leading to wasteful and unfocused development cycles. Since so much will depend on your site’s content, good initial Content Development allows the next phases of the project to be efficiently developed and trouble-free.
TripleWitch will guide you through the process of identifying, developing and organizing your content to most effectively communicate your message and support your online services and offerings. Once the content is proofed, "locked-down" and signed-off on, we are ready to begin the Site Design and Database Development.
Phase 3: Site Design and Database Development
Having your site content in-hand, TripleWitch can now develop your web site’s design & user-interface and database architecture. We will work with your Marketing Department to develop a customized site design that leverages your marketing strategies and maintains your corporate branding. We will meet to discuss your site’s marketing vision, site styles you like and dislike and design-goals. Once TripleWitch has an understanding of these, we will develop several different designs and present them for discussion and revision. Once a design has been approved and signed-off on, we will then be able to begin the construction of your web site.
Also, during this phase, we will begin the development of your database architecture, if your site requires one.
Phase 4: Site Build-Out
Now that TripleWitch has your content, design and database architecture developed, we can begin building-out your site. As we build-out your site, we will have a development site hidden from public-access for your people to be able to browse. With this, you will be able to monitor your site-in-progress and have the ability to offer feedback before the Site Launch.
Once the site is determined to be "finalized", you will have a chance to entirely proof the site before it goes public. Any minor corrections or changes (for example, small copy alterations, additions, deletions) will be made. Once we have Site Sign-off, your new web site is ready to go live!
Phase 5: Site Launch
Now that everything has been finalized and signed-off on, it is time to launch your site. TripleWitch will work with you on how best to launch your site. Depending on your marketing strategies, we can implement several different plans that best suite your needs. From search engine placement to directory listings, we can assist in getting your site up and running and announced to your markets.
